Electronic and Mechanical Oil Flow Meters

Electronic device developed for the metering of fluids, particularly in applications where an immediate control of the supplied fluid is required. The function is based upon the oval gears measuring system combined with a probe that is measuring electromagnetic pulses monitored by an electronic component which indicates the quantity of each individual fluid dispense (single operation), the quantity of a sum of dispenses (partial totalizer) and the total of all dispenses ever made (absolute totalizer).

The European Directive 2014/32/EU, better known as Directive MID (Measuring Instruments Directive), is a community norm responding to reasons of public interest, safety and order, environment protection as well as preventing consumer from false measurement, of levying taxes and duties and of fair trading. All these application, which directly and indirectly affect the daily life of citizens in many ways, may require certified measuring systems subject to legal verification.

MID-Oil Counter – Art. 2545

Electronic oval gears flow meter for oil, approved for legal transactions according to MID MI-005, Directive 2014/32/EU, with control gun, rubber protection guard, trigger guard, oil flow control pipe with sight glass, flexible rubber outlet, Ø 1/2”, with curved rigid 90° stem, automatic anti-drip nozzle and inlet swivel 1/2” BSP (M).
This flow meter fully comply the requirements of the OIML R117-1 (Dynamic measuring systems for liquids other than water – Part 1: Metrological and technical requirements) and Welmec 7.2 software guide, 2018.

The new electronic flow meter series STM features the following characteristics:
– the function is based upon the oval gears measuring system combined with a probe that is measuring electromagnetic pulses monitored by an electronic component.
The flow meter allows to display four different measurement results:
1) the quantity of each individual fluid dispense: single operation measurement (resettable),
2) FLOW: It is possible to read the instant flow in liters, quarts, pints and gallons for a continuous monitoring of the precision of the flow meter within the work parameters,
3) TRIP: the quantity of a sum of dispenses: partial totalizer (resettable)
4) TOTAL: the total of all dispenses ever made: absolute totalizer (not resettable)
– possibility of recalibration by the customer to increase the accuracy of the final plant parameters;
– the flow meter has an enlarged display, with simultaneous visibility of 2 different totals (single operation and absolute total);
– the display additionally assures a perfect readability through included backlit feature;
– the flow meter offers the possibility of changing the measuring unit (liters, quarts, pints, gallons);
– it also assures an improved accuracy and repeatability of the measurement;
– easy change of the batteries throught a rear holder;
– the flow meter is equipped by a rubber protection guard;
– the control gun includes a trigger guard and an intergrated inline filter which allows an easier maintenance, offers the possibility of a gradual oil supply through the trigger, and permits to open the valve with a minimum effort.
